Bad times don’t last: Good people do

Bad times don’t last: good people do – This is topic of the conference, where I can speaking tomorrow.
I am participating in a panel namely, Exploring Talent Opportunities . A few other people on the panel who are there are Carol Evans, Ted Childs, Ilene Lang.
The panel explores – What is diversity? Why it is important? And why we need to understand the new definition of diversity?

My point is that we live and work in a multicultural world. The irony of ethnic/affinity groups is that the purpose is to create an inclusive environment by dividing people into different groups – Asian American, Hispanic, African American et al. This does not make sense.
I believe that the most important thing is how we will create an inclusive environment in which the next generation of diversity leadership will come from…because to Gen Yers, every single person, with his or her own combination of background, traits and characteristics, is his or her own unique diversity story. For Generation Y, difference is cool. Uniqueness is the centerpiece of identity.

#DIVERSITYtweet Book 1
With the current globalization and technological advancements, we are seeing an exponential growth in diversity in our world. People are transcending cultures and geographies and are embracing diversity in their experiences and interactions with others. Most importantly, this book is a thought provoking resource for managers and those who work with a diverse group of people, be it in the workforce, community projects, team building assignments, social gatherings, or business meetings.
