“NO” means ‘NOTHING”

By: admin on Thu 30 Apr 2009 11:07 AM under Business, Entrepreneurship, Globalization

As I build my company, I have learnt a lot of hard lessons. Many days I encounter situations where people don’t pick up my calls, they ignore my emails and have resistance from Administrative Assistants of people I wish to reach. Everytime I am rejected, I have the tendency to fall prey to the little voice in my head who is telling me ” How hard was to set this call?”, ” I will have to call again?”, “Oh my God! I am never going to get to meet this person”.

This little voice tests my commitment to my passion. The question is :” Am I going to listen to it?”.

I am sure all of you have your set of challenges and your little friend (little voice in your head) is keeping you company too.

It was just recently at a conference, a speaker who I was talking to said…“No means Nothing”. I stood listening to her and experienced the first ZEN moment of my life. That little voice went silent and then there was just quite – a space in mind where I could create. And I got up and tried again – made all the phone calls and wrote those emails – I just got it – NO means NOTHING.
