Online marketing: Don’t have a budget…here are some suggestions

By: admin on Fri 11 Apr 2008 2:21 AM under Business, Marketing

Here are some tips on online marketing when you don’t have a budget for marketing.

1. High quality content : Make it worth the time for your readers to visit your site.

2. Respect your readers: If you are into email marketing, please provide a unsubscribe button. Don’t push it. You cannot make someone change his or his mind if they decide not to value your content.

3. Manage your community: Engage them. You don’t want to reach everyone. You want to reach people who care for what you have to say. Engage with the influencers  in a category and not all the people and  have distinctions of who you want to reach.

4.  Long tail: Who wants to be the commodity key word. Become a resource for a large volume of key words. Drive traffic based on volume of targeted key words.

5.  Enable connections: Make an effort to enable connections. Process connections from person A to person B. Become a media channel that is unique. There is no power in controlling any interaction.

More to come. Stay Tuned
