Recession calls for sense of Abundance

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little” ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882 – 1945)
Recession gives us a sense of scarcity – scarcity of jobs, scarcity of resources and scarcity of money. We get scared with scarcity as there is a potential threat to our lives. We are gripped in fear and insecurity. This fear is based on the perceived threat of survival.
But it is in Recession that we need to embrace the sense of Abundance. There is never a better time to have abundance of help, abundance in collaboration and abundance in doing good for the community.
Here is why Recession calls for Abundance:
1. There is enough for everybody. Only in Abundance, we can empower others from minority communities to become competent and become effective to contribute to bigger organizational, community or company’s goal.
2. Collaboration is the winner. When we collaborate we need less personal investment in resources, time and energy.
3. Money is just energy: Money is a energy that keeps things alive and fresh. Hoarding it will not create wealth. It is in recession that you can buy things for cheap, invest and seize opportunities.
Come from a sense of Abundance if you want to come out as a winner in Recession. The abundance-mindset is a choice. In other words, you choose to look through the lens of scarcity, or through the lens of abundance. There is no in-between.
